Parents of Gender Expansive Kids (POGEK) is a group of dedicated parents who meet once a month to discuss the experiences and well-being of their children currently enrolled at Brooklyn’s PS39. Our collective serves as a platform to plan community events, foster connections, and organize initiatives that support the rights and inclusion of all gender expansive, non-binary, and trans kids. We are raising funds to expand our efforts, connect with more parents, and ensure that our activities and advocacy will impact both our children's lives and the broader community. One of our main initiatives is the Gender Expansive Families Propaganda Party. We held the first of these on March 24, where 300 people gathered to print posters and t-shirts, craft buttons and bracelets, and make zines.
